PCGS Fine 12.  The Taunton Bank issued notes from several series during its 1812-1865 tenure. Fully issued notes were mostly redeemed before the bank converted to National Bank status in 1865, thus they are rare. A quintessential New England Bank Note Co. style with a lovely layout. The Massachusetts state seal is set in a landscape at top left. A standing farmer is at lower right, in the style of William Sidney Mount. A red TEN protector is at bottom center, and a large engraved gray \"X\" protector is on the right side. Counters are in the lower left and upper right corners.
