This was a deceptive and well-made counterfeit in the period. They used the Toppan, Carpenter & Co. imprint style with a pale orange lace tint and outlined white FIVE protector. A mill scene is at top left under the arced title, a boy is to the right, and a woman feeding chickens is at lower right. Superior grade for the type. Ex: Eric P.
