PCGS Very Fine 35.   A second change bill from this exceedingly rare 1870s iron works store series. In smaller format than the previous. Printed on white bond paper by Democrat Lith. & Printing Co., but without imprint. At the left end, a locomotive at a turning station is depicted. Titles are in the center with a large green \"10\" protector and TEN CENTS across. The lower right corner shows a deer, and a \"10\" die is above. The engraved \"sup't\" signature is at the bottom. The red back displays RECEIVABLE / FOR / MERCHANDISE / AT / CASH PRICES in an oval flanked by outlined counters. Printed serial number 2001. The note has full margins, and this is the only Scotia change note cataloged here with a printed number. We have no auction records to cite, and this is the first we have cataloged. Ex: Eric P.
