This beautiful India paper proof features a steamboat scene at top center cupped into the deep vermillion title and flanked by dazzling numerical dies. The \"C\" protectors are in a lighter hue. The Bald, Cousland & Co. Philada. & New York imprint is at bottom left, and the ABC monogram is at the far left. In oval vignettes in the lower corners, Robert Aull is featured at left and Justice, looking somewhat burdened, is at the right. Plate A. Noted by grading as \"Hole Punch Cancelled,\" as made, and with \"Small Edge Tears.\" An attractive, vibrant $100 proof and the highest denomination authorized by the bank. Ex: D. C.
