PCGS Fine 15.    Bank of England notes issued under Chief Cashier Ernest Musgrave Harvey followed a long tradition of British \"White Notes.\" They were printed on paper manufactured by Henry Portal with unique watermarks for each denomination. Printed two to a sheet, side-by-side, each note featured one straight edge and three deckled edges. The deckled edge at right on this note should have had a notch (not present here) purposely cut out by the paper maker to prevent the face design from being printed on the wrong stock of watermarked paper. The denomination guilloche at left has One Hundred in Gothic type among intertwining designs. This issue is rare above the ?100 denomination.
