Proof. PCGS New 62.  This is another denomination from the Underwood, Bald, Spencer & Hufty engraved plate, an India paper proof with a sharp-looking layout. At the top center is seated Mercury as Commerce on the shores of the Mississippi flanked by cameo profile heads facing right, with TWENTY curved across their foreheads in a headband manner. Identical end panels show a perpendicular TWENTY on lathe work. A rare proof with most from this state in strongly held collections.
