PCGS Very Fine 20 Apparent.    Another $20 contemporary counterfeit with the false imprint of Toppan, Carpenter & Co. Philada. The genuine notes from the branch are virtually impossible to find (all SENC in Haxby) and that makes this a very collectible representative from the location. The red engraved or stamped COUNTERSIGNED & REGISTERED text is at top left, and the red signature line and \"Comr.\" are at the upper right. At top center, enthroned Moneta appears to instruct the young woman sitting on her lap, and the vignettes show crude renderings of Benton, Linn, Van Buren, and Jackson. The plate diagnostics are cruder, similar to the Fayette false bills. Plate A. No. 241. Grading notes \"Edge Tears and Tape Repairs; Minor Rust Stains.\" The paper body is fairly solid. Ex: Eric P.
