Proof. PCGS Very Choice New 64. This is an extremely rare bank, and we are not aware of any issued notes. The bank supposedly had a maximum $250,000 capital authorization when it converted to the Milwaukee National Bank in April 1865, and likely redeemed all of the circulation. This is a plate B India paper proof mounted on original cardstock. It is from an early series with Capital $150,000 engraved on the $-$1-$2-$5 plate by Toppan, Carpenter, Casilear & Co., New-York & Phila. At the center, a man leaning on a fence talks to his friend who reclines on a mound of hay. Webster is at the lower left. Noted as \"Hole Punch Cancelled\" and \"Mounted on Cardstock\" as made. A well-balanced and handsome proof. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society, Heritage Auctions Internet Sale (1/2017).\n\n(Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions, ha.com.)
