At lower left is an ornately framed oval portrait of a young woman with a pearl necklace and flowers in her hair. The base vignette depicts a farmer and plow horses. The Krause Collection had a mishandled and poorly trimmed bond paper Specimen note of this type. This is a superior example by far, with deep inking providing exceptional contrast on the immaculate white India paper. Noted as \"Hole Punch Cancelled\" and \"Mounted on Cardstock\" as made.
