PCGS Very Fine 30.  A much rarer $50 demand note from this branch. Superb grade and wonderful style by Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson. The vignettes are classic American: top center, a spotted cow; left, within a circle, several rural women at rest with their milk pails. At right is the quintessential image of Long Island Farmer Husking Corn, as adapted from William Sydney Mount's painting (1833-34) and used on several Obsolete banks from this imprint. This lovely example is the Arkansas Notes and Scrip book plate note. Eric P. Newman was a keen contributor to this standard reference on the state's Obsolete notes.
