Very elegant lathe work is at each end with a \"2\" at the left and perpendicular TWO at the right. Cancelled much later than 1848 with an oval \"National Bank of Commerce of New Bedford\" purple ink stamp at the right noted by grading as \"Stamp Cancelled.\" Sharply signed, and the redemption stamping is out of harm's way.
