A bold New Orleans scrip note, like so many newly encountered Newman Collection examples, and the first we have cataloged. Printed on white paper without imprint. An ocean bound paddlewheeler is at the top center. Title, address and obligation are across the center. Standing Liberty with cap on pole is at the left end. The right end has FIFTY CENTS in a cartouche. A very sharp signature is at the lower right. Noted as having \"Repaired Edge Tears at Bottom Left,\" but they are not easily observed.
