Though defined as a scrip note, the size and engraved designs of this intricate note seem to indicate the company acted as a bank, and notes were paid on demand including at the \"Office in New York.\" This Danforth, Wright & Co. engraved note is printed uniface, without the color back added on the subsequent series. At top center is a wide mining scene. At lower left is the small incorporation seal of the firm. The lower right shows seated America. A handsome type. Ex: Eric P.
