The Haxby listings are inaccurate and do not reflect the counterfeit character of these pieces, which were clearly not the quality of Murray, Draper, Fairman & Co. or other intaglio engravers from the period. $1 Contemporary Counterfeit Oct. 4, 1814 NY-1050 C32. PCGS Fine 15 Apparent.  This is fairly well made. Noted with \"Minor Edge Damage\" $3 Contemporary Counterfeit Sep. 10, 1817 NY-1050 C56. PCGS Very Fine 25 Apparent.  Listed as G56, but the details are too crude and this is counterfeit. The right end panel is poorly detailed. Noted with \"Small Edge Splits and Tears; Pinholes\" $5 Contemporary Counterfeit Jan. 27, 1814 NY-1050 C64. PCGS Very Fine 20 Apparent.  A well-made counterfeit, and the genuine is unknown to us.
