There are a man and a woman in this scene, and they appear to be in a living room, as the woman is perched on the arm of an upholstered chair. Her legs are stretched out in front of her, and she's slouched a little to rest both hands on her knees. She's wearing 1920s era clothing; light colored pumps, white dress with a wide black sash and bow around her hips, and her hair is cut in a short bob. She's staring down at the man, who's seated on three cushions on the floor, and she seems bored. The man is tinkering with some wiring he's pulled out of what looks like a radio. There are pieces of the internal workings spread out on the floor. There appears to be a cup by the man's left hand, and liquid on the floor. The man's wearing a suit and tie, with glasses. He's mussed his hair a bit at the back of his head. The caption reads; He was a nice fellow, Sam was. After three or four shots of sump oil he'd spend the evening taking the host's radio set to pieces."},{"label":"Medium","value":["Black-and-white prints (prints on paper) [AAT]"]},{"label":"Date Created","value":"D:00 M:00 Y:1877 - D:00 M:00 Y:1960"},{"label":"Image View Type","value":"Periodical Illustration"},{"label":"Title","value":"Untitled"},{"label":"Copyright Status","value":["In Copyright - Educational Use Permitted"]},{"label":"Collection Name","value":["Walt Reed Illustration Archive Tear Sheet Collection","Dowd Illustration Research Archive","Walt Reed Illustration Archive"]},{"label":"Link to Finding Aid Record","value":"https://aspace.library.washu.edu/repositories/3/archival_objects/280076"},{"label":"Publish Country","value":["United States [LCNAF]"]},{"label":"Collection ID","value":["DIRA-00019"]},{"label":"Collecting Area","value":["Dowd Illustration Research Archive"]},{"label":"Genre Form","value":["Graphic Design and Illustration","Tear sheets [AAT]"]},{"label":"Style Period","value":["Commercial Modernism"]},{"label":"Cultural Context","value":"Popular American Culture"},{"label":"Copyright Statement","value":"<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC-EDU/1.0/\">This Item is protected by copyright and/or related rights.
