Six engines responded to the incident as Aptos/La Selva firefighters were joined by a crew from Cal Fire and one from Central. While there was initial concern the home’s two residents might have been inside during the blaze, it was confirmed that the mobile home was unoccupied at the time. An aggressive response kept the fire contained to just one structure. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
