Rose, who calls her self the “Monarch Mama” has been raising the butterflies for years after planting milkweed at her Live Oak home to attract them. Each year she releases the migrating butterflies once they have hatched from a chrysalis and can survive in nature. Rose wanted to bring a smile to people’s faces during this trying time, especially to the workers at Trader Joes, who she especially appreciates. She made sure shoppers waiting to get into the store who enjoyed watching kept appropriate social distance.
