It was identified in a large healthcare facility in Southern United States that though more than 800 vascular procedures are performed annually, nurses are not required to perform annual targeted education for vascular surgery. This gap in knowledge was identified and brought to vascular team members as a scholarly project that would assess baseline knowledge with a pretest, followed by a vascular presentation, then two subsequent quizzes 8 weeks apart, referred to as posttest 1 and posttest 2. The results were favorable in that scores increased from 41.3% on pretest to 68.5% on posttest 2. There was a slight decrease in scores from posttest 1 to posttest 2, attesting to the fact that continued targeted education on a yearly if not quarterly basis is
