Henry owned the Henry Hess Lumber Company in Sebastopol. FAMILY HISTORY: Henry Hess (abt 1883-abt 1965) married to Annie Laurie Klinker Hess. They lived in Sonoma County in the 1920s and moved to San Francisco around 1930 where they lived until their death. Annie Laurie died around 1960 and Henry around 1965. They had no children. Henry Hess Lumber Co. ran three lumber yards: Sebastopol, Guerneville and San Rafael. Henry's\"Jake\" brother-in-law Thomas Roy Klinker Sr. ran the lumber company in Sebastopol from about 1919 untill he transferred to the San Rafael lumber company around 1955 (about the time the Sebastopol yard closed). Thomas Roy Klinker Sr. was a charter member of the Rotary Club in Sebastopol. He had three children: Roy Craig Klinker, Geraldine Klinker and Thomas Roy Klinker Jr. Thomas Roy Klinker Jr. (12-25-1925) was a life-long resident of Sebastopol. Married his grammar school sweetheart. He passed away on 10-20-1997. He served as a City Councilman and served 5 times as Mayor of Sebastopol. He was an electrician by trade and worked on weekends as a musician, playing bass fiddle and singing.
