In that time, Pete presided over massive growth of the city, both in population and in development - and eventual fulfillment of - the city’s first masterplan. Pete’s involvement with city government stretches back to the very beginning of the city’s incorporation, and this interview reflects primarily on Pete’s time as city manager, and the relationships he had with the nascent Public Safety Department, the city attorneys and engineers he hired, and the private developers the city contracted with to build residential subdivisions, golf courses, and other public amenities. Pete modestly and fondly remembers those who served with him in these capacities, noting that the growth of the city should not be attributed to him alone, and he stresses that a great amount of luck and a sense of civic duty are what made Rohnert Park the city it is, sixty years on from its founding."},{"label":"Contributor(s) (Person)","value":["Torr, Kyle","Broderick, Ronilyn","Estes, Steve","Mackenzie, Barbara","Mackenzie, Jake","Novelly, Pam"]},{"label":"Creator (Person)","value":["Callinan, Pete"]},{"label":"Title Statement","value":"Interviewed by Ronilyn Broderick and Kyle Torr"},{"label":"Title","value":"Pete Callinan, October 24, 2022"},{"label":"Item Format or Genre","value":["interviews","oral histories (literary genre)"]},{"label":"Number of Parts or Pages","value":"1 streaming audio file (00:59:54)"},{"label":"Subject keywords","value":"Callinan, Pete; Rohnert Park (Calif.).
