McMahon, Sonoma City Attorney who is a candidate for the office of District Attorney of Sonoma County in the June 5 (year?) primary election. McMahon, 39, has had an active law practice in Sonoma for 10 years, has been city attorney since 1959. A graduate of the Law School at the University of San Francisco, he served with the Coast Guard in Alaska during World War II. He is married to the former Barbara Hardin, of Petaluma, and they have four children. McMahon charges that the present County D.A. dispenses a brand of 'soft justice' by letting murderers and other felons plead to lesser charges when they appear in court.
