He specialized in photographing horses and was staff photographer for Hoof Beats Magazine, as well as a frequent photographer for the races at the Sonoma County Fair and as photographer for many of California's best know trail rides. His renown as a horse photographer brought him in contact with many celebrities who later became friends, including Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon and Walt Disney.
