In 1868 a 340.93 acre parcel was bequeathed to his daughter Maria Hilaria Garcia following his death. The ranch went through many owners and was purchased in 1918 by David Bordessa of Tomales. Bordessa improved the property and raised a family in the old ranch house. The Bordessa ranch holds historic significance as one of the contributing dairy ranches in the area.
