Selecting and coordinating interviews with individuals over sixty-five was a challenge as those individuals were busy with projects of their own. I selected 32 individuals aged 65 to 100 years; fifteen women and seventeen men. They talked about their passion for their work, mentors, creativity, upbringing, longevity, fulfillment and faith. Included in this group were people like Steve Allen, Dave Brubeck, Norman Cousins, Alice Faye, John Gardner, Robert Mondavi, Linus Pauling, Charles M. Schulz (Snoopy), John Wooden and many others. His fictional writings take the form of screenplays because of his love of movies. Each screenplay has had a personal connection with his own experiences, or as an observer of events. The Oath had its origin from when Dr, Stearn was in the navy as a medical corpsman. Miltee, a three-pound, Teacup Maltese dog, is a member of the family, coupled with a woman teaching pre-schoolers about the paintings of the great masters of the world. Brief Encounter, relates Marshall Stearn's observations and experiences in dealing with movie casting agencies. With Press Bet, Marshall draws on his caddying background from the time he was 12 until he was 18. In Love Is a Many Splendid Thing, you will have to use your own imagination for the relevance.
