In its early formation, the ASB consisted of seven members: President, Vice-President, and Commissioners of Athletics, Arts, Finance, Publications, and Records.  Members were elected by SMC students, and only students who were a Delta class member were eligible to run as President.  Student leaders held assemblies open to the student body and approved spending of the ASB funds.  The organization was renamed the Associated Students Commission in 1959. According to yearbook entries, the faculty advisors were Dr. Elmer C. Sandmeyer from 1929-1936, Edward T.
