She immigrated to the US in 1982 and first settled in Manhattan, NY before moving to Houston in 1984. She has been working as a Financial Advisor at Oppenheimer & Co. in Houston since 2009, and participates in various community organizations in the area. This interview covers a broad range of her personal experiences—such as her enjoyment of various TV shows and forms of media—and touches on how she faced death in her family at an early age. It also covers her educational and spiritual backgrounds, as a Catholic-raised individual that immensely enjoyed math from a young age. The interview then discusses her immigration experience to America and the challenges that accompanied it (such as language and cultural barriers) before considering her move to Houston and the nature of her current work and hobbies. Finally, the interview closes by discussing identity and community."},{"label":"Abstract","value":"This item is part of a collection that includes images and ephemera related to interviews conducted by the Houston Asian American Archive (HAAA) since 2010."},{"label":"Location","value":["Texas--Houston"]},{"label":"People and Organizations","value":["Ruhtenberg, Diana Libunao"]},{"label":"Accessibility","value":["This item may have accessibility enhancements created by AI, which means there might be misspellings and/or grammatical errors.
