Dr. Amy Kan is a Rice University Research staff who serves as the Co-Director of the Brine Chemistry Consortium, the Co-Director of US-China Center for Environmental Remediation and Sustainable Development, and the Associate Editor of SPE J. She was the first case of COVID-19 on Rice campus after returning from a trip to Egypt with a group of friends, among which many fell ill of COVID-19.
