Initially living in upstate New York, her family quickly joined their distant cousins in Houston, where Lynne attended school and eventually went to the University of Houston. Earning a degree in psychology from U of H and a Master's in Public Health from the University of Texas, Lynne delved into a career of healthcare advocacy and education. Founding HOPE clinic and working for MD Anderson Cancer Center, Lynne continues to seek out equitable opportunity for minorities and cultural groups in the scope of healthcare and social justice. This interview covers Lynne's childhood and immigration story, as well as her educational background and family experiences. It focuses on her contributions to Houston (and the broader field of community engagement) through her various professional experiences, such as United Way, HOPE clinic, MD Anderson, and more."}],"description":"Lynne Nguyen","sequences":[{"@type":"sc:Sequence","canvases":[{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/rice/iiif/141de46c-73d1-4b11-874c-eea087ab6131/canvas/_1","@type":"sc:Canvas","label":"Lynne Nguyen","height":1280,"width":650,"images":[{"@type":"oa:Annotation","motivation":"sc:painting","resource":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/rice/iiif/141de46c-73d1-4b11-874c-eea087ab6131/full/full/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","format":"image/jpeg","service":{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/context.json","@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/rice/iiif/141de46c-73d1-4b11-874c-eea087ab6131","profile":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/level2.json","tiles":[{"width":512,"scaleFactors":[1,2,4]}]},"height":1280,"width":650},"on":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/rice/iiif/141de46c-73d1-4b11-874c-eea087ab6131/canvas/_1","metadata":[]}],"thumbnail":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/rice/iiif/141de46c-73d1-4b11-874c-eea087ab6131/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","height":500,"width":500}}]}],"thumbnail":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/rice/iiif/141de46c-73d1-4b11-874c-eea087ab6131/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","logo":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/rice/iiif/logo"}
