The plan of the house is somewhat irregular with protrusions on most of the sides. The building itself is single detached, with a partial basement of concrete and it rises to a solid two storeys. The type of material used for the exterior walls is red brick and the pattern the brick is laid in is called the stretcher bond pattern, where the bricks are laid lengthwise to show the long side in every coarse. To the right of the main facade there is a small addition rising to one stoey height, and it is constructed of wood in the shiplap method with an entrance also on the main facade. There is a wing with another small addition in the left rear section of the house which is covered in composition shingle/tile, and has a crawl space underneath the structure. Decorative wood shingle is seen under the gable peaks of the main facade, and it is now painted in a dark green colour. The shape of the roof is varied with predominantly pyramidal shapes with gable offsets. One red brick, single stack chimney is found to the front left side of the house. The roof is outlined in a boxed in cornice of wood with a slight frieze, and the gables are trimmed with the cornices boxed and pedimented. The main window opening shapes are segmented, arched with radiating brick and trimmed in plain wood with a concrete lugsill bottom. Most of the windows are of single divisions and with a small sash above called a transom light or panel. The openings of the windows are double hung, so that one sash can slide up and down. The location on the building of the main door is in approximately the centre of the main facade. The shape of the door opening is segmental, headed with arched bricks radiating from the centre. The side surrounds are plin and of wood, and the door itself is multi paneled and partly glazed. There are straight side steps leading up to an open porch with a pedimental roof. It is supported of brick columns and then it has wood columns leading to the roof. There is a crawl space under the porch covered with crossed strips of wood The house has additional features such as projecting frontispieces on the sides.
