Its irregular 6-acre lot, part Lot 18, Con 1 SDS, was fitted between the north boundary of Brant's Block and Dundas Street. The 1806 settlement map shows its first owner as John Hopkins. The house was built in 1834 for the Stinson family. THe 1877 Halton Atlas shows the owner as Abraham Stinson. The owners in 1974, Mr & Mrs Dave Sherwood, bought the property from Abraham's descendent William Stinson. The CIHB notes record a raised panel front door with a sliding hand-forged bolt, many interior pocket doors with panels matching the front door, a graceful oak staircase, a rubblestone smoke house, and an 1890 barn."},{"label":"Creator","value":"Frances Day"},{"label":"Date","value":"1-Oct-74"},{"label":"Date (EDTF)","value":"D:00 M:00 Y:1974"},{"label":"Title","value":"Abraham Stinson Farms and Farminghouse, 2254 Dundas Street, 1974"},{"label":"Repository","value":["Burlington Historical Society"]}],"description":"Abraham Stinson Farms and Farminghouse, 2254 Dundas Street, 1974","sequences":[{"@type":"sc:Sequence","canvases":[{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/fb51d93b-9bcb-487a-b9bb-b8a12d98e4e4/canvas/_1","@type":"sc:Canvas","label":"Abraham Stinson Farms and Farminghouse, 2254 Dundas Street, 1974","height":226,"width":225,"images":[{"@type":"oa:Annotation","motivation":"sc:painting","resource":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/fb51d93b-9bcb-487a-b9bb-b8a12d98e4e4/full/full/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","format":"image/jpeg","service":{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/context.json","@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/fb51d93b-9bcb-487a-b9bb-b8a12d98e4e4","profile":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/level2.json","tiles":[{"width":512,"scaleFactors":[1]}]},"height":226,"width":225},"on":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/fb51d93b-9bcb-487a-b9bb-b8a12d98e4e4/canvas/_1","metadata":[]}],"thumbnail":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/fb51d93b-9bcb-487a-b9bb-b8a12d98e4e4/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","height":500,"width":500}}]}],"thumbnail":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/fb51d93b-9bcb-487a-b9bb-b8a12d98e4e4/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","logo":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/logo"}
