J. Filman's Survey (registered 1987), itself a resubdivision of Plan 47, McMurray's Survey of Brant Farms and Farming, which had been registered in 1869 - was registered in 1929 by A. B. Coleman. Alfred Brigham Coleman (1865 - 1938) married Samena Rose De Witt (1881 - 1939) in 1905. In 1941 this property was sold by her estate to Gladys & Clark Wales; in 1945 to Claude Andrew McClenahan; in 1979 from the estate of his widow Mary Rosamund McClenahan to Paul Donaghel; in 1987 from his widow Diane Donaghel to Diane Mary Kilpinen; in 1988 to Ronald James & Marlene Denise Cole; in 1991 to Kevin James & Bonnie Lynn Andrew; in 1995 to Ronald & Janice Fozo. ARCHITECTURE: A large two-and-a-half-storey stuccoed structure with a high-pitched hipped roof. The lower part of the front elevation is clad with brick, and the windows, usually 6/6 sash, and often grouped in threes, have brick soldier courses above and stone sills. A massive tall brick chimney is at one side, between two small windows. A side wing for the double garage has a large gabled front dormer which echoes the dormer on the main front elevation. The other dormers are small with flat roofs. ENVIRONMENT: Located near the entrance gates to Mohawk Road. A well-known landmark.
