He embarked with his unti from Brisbande, Queens;and on board HMAT A49 \"Seang Choon\" on 19 September 1916. 2407A Pte Robert Warren Cutter, 47nd [sic] Battalion Australian Infantry (AIF) was killed in action 11 April 1917 at the Somme and is buried with no known grave in the Villers - Bretonneux Military Cemetery, east of Aliens, France. Pte Cutter was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. The cemetery was made after the Armistice when graves were brought in from other burial grounds in the area and from the battlefields. Plots I to XX were completed by 1920 and contain mostly Australian graves.
