Country Homes Building Restrictions Covenant: residential; not less than $7000; no building to be erected until plan approved by grantor; not to be conveyed to a person \"of a colored race or of a foreign race\"; no wall to be less than 40 feet from the street line; one dwelling per lot. Lot 22 and Part Lot 21 and 23 were sold in 1928 to Earl William BeSaw. Earl W. BeSaw began working for Harvey S. Firestone circa 1910 and rose quickly as a branch manager in Desmoines, then in 1914 Western District Manager, then in 1919 General Sales Manager of the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company. In 1922 Firestone expanded to Canada at Hamilton, and BeSaw was appointed Vice President and General Manager of the Canadian Company. BeSaw died suddenly of a heart attack in 1932.
