It was originally four rooms with a stoop which was later removed and replaced by the dining room addition. It was rented for some years, then the Andersons moved back and added two upstairs bedrooms and put in a furnace. Joseph Anderson owned the whole lot to the next street, with a 99-foot frontage. He grew strawberries and vegetables in the back lot. The house next door is on part of the same lot (owned by a sister of Mrs McCormack,). There was a good well at the back of the house, used by several neighbours. It was filled in after the town water system began. 1897 Voters List: Dr J. N. Anderson, M.
