End-gabled roof and gables above each front entrance. The Burlington Historical Society plaque is to the right of the front door. The house has been reclad with vinyl siding to accommodate the reorientation of the window to the east (left) of the door.,Originally part of Joseph Brant's Crown Grant property, this lot was surveyed by Benjamin Eager in 1874. These lots were sold to Robert Pentecost, a commercial traveller, and the semi-detached houses were built in same year. Eager's \"Brant House Summer Resort & European Hotel\", illustrated in the 1877 Historical Atlas of Halton County, page 59, was constructed at about the same time. The frame hotel was much larger, but built in a comparable style, resembling semi-detached row houses with many gables."},{"label":"Creator","value":"Les Armstrong"},{"label":"Date","value":"2004"},{"label":"Date (EDTF)","value":"D:00 M:00 Y:2004"},{"label":"Title","value":"1358 Ontario Street, 2004"},{"label":"Repository","value":["Burlington Historical Society"]}],"description":"1358 Ontario Street, 2004","sequences":[{"@type":"sc:Sequence","canvases":[{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/b2053eb0-9cb1-46de-b74f-979c98149f73/canvas/_1","@type":"sc:Canvas","label":"1358 Ontario Street, 2004","height":1236,"width":1600,"images":[{"@type":"oa:Annotation","motivation":"sc:painting","resource":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/b2053eb0-9cb1-46de-b74f-979c98149f73/full/full/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","format":"image/jpeg","service":{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/context.json","@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/b2053eb0-9cb1-46de-b74f-979c98149f73","profile":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/level2.json","tiles":[{"width":512,"scaleFactors":[1,2,4]}]},"height":1236,"width":1600},"on":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/b2053eb0-9cb1-46de-b74f-979c98149f73/canvas/_1","metadata":[]}],"thumbnail":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/b2053eb0-9cb1-46de-b74f-979c98149f73/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","height":500,"width":500}}]}],"thumbnail":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/b2053eb0-9cb1-46de-b74f-979c98149f73/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","logo":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/logo"}
