Located on the east side of Brant Street, just north of the CNR tracks, this replaced the store owned by W. J. Cannom, which burnt down in 1904. The Armstrong brothers Jim and John, sons of William Earl Armstrong, operated the store with their sister, Mrs Ulric Ruf. In the 1950s to 1970s, owned by Gerald ( Jerry) and Edith Pridmore. Mr Pridmore was a butcher and barber and had a Post Office outlet, operated in the 1950s by Reta Cornish.
