Lots 3, 4, 5, and 6 were purchased in 1892 by Robert Sutherland Wallace, who sold all four lots in 1903 to Mary Ann and William Howard. In 1905 they built the house now at 508 Hager, on Lots 3 and 4, as their own residence. In 1908 they sold the SE half of Lot 6 to the Fisher sisters and the NW half to Charles Lemon. This house was apparently built for Charles Lemon circa 1910. It is not shown on the 1910 GOAD map; in the 1924 GOAD map it is marked as 17 Hager. 1919 Sewerage Plan Map: C. Lemon, Lot 5 (error for Lot 6). 1919 Voters List: C. Lemon, (retired) Gentleman, Part Lot 60 [sic]. Charles (1863 - 1923) was one of the sons of Thomas & Mary Lemon, of Lemonville Road. The house at 1329 Lemonville Road was built for Charles in 1917. His father Thomas Lemon was a well-known gospel preacher, who often drew audiences of 400 or 500 people. This Hager Avenue house is said to have been purchased in 1917 as a manse for James Chapman, the minister for Calvary Baptist Church. However, the title change was not registered until 1920,when it passed to the Trustees of the Burlington Baptist Church. The Baptist minister may have rented this house from 1917, when Charles Lemon moved into his Lemonville Road house. 1919 Sewerage Works Plan: C. Lemon, Lot 5. 1927 Voters List: John J. Roberts, Minister, & Mrs E. Roberts, MW, Lot 60 [sic], 17 Hager 1928 Burlington Directory (January): J. J. Roberts, Minister, 17 Hager ave 1932 Burlington Directory: Rev, J. J.
