The location is unknown, but may be her mother's former house on Mill Street in Waterdown. ,was a registered nurse. She graduated from Aldershot public school in 1899 at age 13 and completed her high school education at Waterdown High. She took her 3 year training as a nurse at St Luke's Hospital in New York City and graduated Jan 9th 1912. She joined St Luke's as a private duty nurse. It is said her interest in nursing started as a young girl on Gallagher Road where she often baby sat the Gallagher Children and youth and helped look after Mrs. John Gallagher (Mary)who at the time was a frail lady but who was said to have influenced Maude towards a nursing career. In 1962 she retired to her mother's former house on Mill St., Waterdown, Ontario, returning often to visit Aldershot. Keith Thornborrow, July 2010: \"Maude Cutter spent most of her life working and residing away from Aldershot and Burlington (until age 76) and when she did retire in 1962 it was to Mill St. in Waterdown and the former houseof her mother (Martha Cutter) . But she returned often to Aldershot and Waterdown.
