In 1925 Hughes Cleaver sold Lot 67 to Etta Forster. In 1941 an agreement for sale was registered to Alfred (Al) Etherington. One of his daughters, Lois Beveridge, is a silversmith who lives in Guelph; her work has been shown at the Hamilton Art Gallery and the Burlington Art Centre. In 1951 the property was bought by John & Helen Higbee. In that year Jack Higbee was appointed the first Water Engineer in the Inter-Urban Water Board of Nelson Township. He had graduated in 1921 in Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto and had worked as an engineer on the Florida coastal highway to Miami. He was born in Peace River, the son of American-born parents - a school principal and a medical doctor, who was one of the earliest women medical practicioners. He died in the 1990s, aged 99. His wife was nee Helen Charlotte Pettit (see the note on \"Balsam Lodge\" at 2290 Queensway Drive). Their daughter Mary became a school teacher.
