Boxed cornice supported by brackets with panelled frieze. Windows are segmental with keystone and radiating voussoirs that continue down the first quarter of the tops of the windows. Bay window with mansard roof with same cornice and window treatment. Front veranda has offset gable with unusual design inset. History: Originally the home of P. J. Babcock, Farms and Farminger. Environment: Set on a large lot with mature trees it backs onto a newly developed subdivision. A large old barn with vertical board and batten serves as this home's garage. It is compatible with the Maple streetscape Useability: The beautiful old home should be preserved and stand as a landmark for the Maple Community. Integrity: The side is original and very few alterations have been made. Although the condition of this home is lacking in attention, it is solid and well worth preserving.
