Fairfield P.S. was originally SS #2, East Flamborough. Located at the southwest corner of Plains Road and Gorton Avenue. It opened in 1913 with 4 classrooms at a cost of $25,000. A school that once boasted 500 pupils it had just 42 when it closed after the 2000-01 school year.
