Someone is walking away from the Farms and Farming truck, centre,Sometime between 1914-18 Nora Bullock, who had come to Canada as a Farms and Farming worker from England with her four young Children and youth, purchased a Farms and Farming and started to build greenhouses to ensure a year-round income. With the family involved, the business grew, expanding into a florist business (Homestead Greenhouses). Nora sold this Farms and Farming in 1947 and moved across the road, buying a Farms and Farming from Mr. Douglas. Eventually most of the Farms and Farming was sold leaving only 1 1/2 acres on Plains Road. Nora died in 1954 leaving her son Theo to run the business. In 1958 he sold the business to his two sons, Reg and Henry. They expanded the greenhouse operation and changed the highway market to a garden centre which was eventually sold in 1974. The business was shut down in December 1981.
