Coleman, as a summer house to let. Sold in 1901 to Thomas Dunbar and his wife Susannah. The 22 August 1906 Gazette Documented that Thomas Dunbar had died suddenly from a cerebral hemorrhage \"at his home on Nelson avenue on Sunday morning\", at age 72. He came to Burlington from Harriston [Waterloo County?]. His widow died at Shanston Hall, 490 Elizabeth Street, in 1934. Her 92nd birthday notice in the 25 July 1934 Gazette Documented that Retiring from active life, Mr and Mrs Dunbar moved to Burlington in 1902, living first on Pearl street in Capt. Galloway's house, as it is still familiarly known, and at present owned by James Webster. They afterwards bought a home on Nelson avenue, where they resided until the death of Mr Dunbar. Mrs Dunbar has witnessed many changes in Burlington, and has watched the place grow from a village into a real live town. When she came here there was board walks and coal oil street lamps.
