Lots 3, 4, 5, and 6 were purchased in 1892 by Robert Sutherland Wallace, who sold all four lots in 1903 to Mary Ann and William Howard. In 1905 they built the house now at 508 Hager, on Lots 3 and 4, as their own residence. In 1908 they sold this parcel of land to Sarah & Elizabeth Fisher. Sarah (1833 - 1924) was a daughter of Peter and Sarah (Bray) Fisher, who homesteaded the Fisher Farms and Farming on Guelph Line. Zeigler, Teacher, 13 Hager ave In 1929 sold to Charles Stuart. The 17 July 1929 Gazette Documented that Alton had sold Mr D. A. Welsh's home on Hagar [sic] Ave. to Mr C. H. Stuart, late manager of the Bank of Commerce, Milton. In 1950 to Don & Millie Edy; in 1950 again to Josef Berlin; in 1956 to ... Kolonica; in 1969 to Luis Sanchez- Martinez, the present owner. ARCHITECTURE: A two-and-a-half storey Edwardian vernacular residence with modified Classical elements, clad with buff stretcher-bond brick. Hipped roof with central hipped dormer window. Both roofs have wide eaves. The full-length enclosed shed-roofed front verandah has substantial brick corners. Comparable to 518 Hager; perhaps the same builder. Very agreeable fenestration pattern of dormer, second-level bay and large window, and first-level windows across the verandah front. The original wooden storm windows and door are picked out with 2-colour trim; the second-level and dormer windows have \"XX\" muntins in their upper sash. ENVIRONMENT: Handsome wooden fence on the side garden. Original garage with a shallow curved roof, sided with clapboard. USABILITY: INTEGRITY: Breezeblock beneath enclosed verandah. Original wide wooden eaves and fascia boards. The flared dormer walls are shingled with the replacement asphalt roof shingles.
