The first floor windows are grouped in threes on each side. The smaller second level windows are grouped in twos above a delicate brick string course. Above the windows are brick soldier courses. The bricklayers' skills are also shown in the subtle variation of red and dark brick.,Plan 212, Roseland, was registered by Hughes Cleaver in 1923. Sold in 1929 from Country Homes Ltd to Jessie Lottie Drope; in 1945 from the Canada Permanent Mortgage Co. under power-of-sale to Anne Walker; in 1946 to Joseph Ambrose Carroll & Madlyn Elizabeth Carroll, who owned Carroll's Grocery store in Hamilton and also Carroll's Grocery on Brant Street, next to a shoe store & LePatourel's pharmacy. Removed in 2012 from the Heritage Burlington heritage property registry, for alleged lack of historical, architectural, or contextual value.
