Stuart Richardson was the second son of Christopher Richardson & Frances Annie Powell. Born in Nelson Twp. 15 March 1891; Drowned at Hamilton Beach 27 July 1916, age 25 years. The following is from the Hamilton Spectator, 28 July 1916 \"About 8:30 o;clock last evening, Stewart Richardson 167 Balsam Avenue, a bookkeeper in the employ of W. H. Freeman & Co., sank to his death in Lake Ontario, off station 10, at the Beach, while trying to rescue his sweetheart, Miss Ruby Galloway, a nurse at the general hospital. Miss Galloway was rescued by a beach resident, but Mr. Richardson sank from sheer exhaustion and heart failure.
