Ltd., later one of the largest hosiery manufacturers in North America\" (Dictionary of Hamilton Biography, ......... . Presently owned by Dr Duncan MacCrimmon, a psychiatrist at the Mountain Hospital, and his wife, dancer .... Duncan MacCrimmon was an effective advocate for the preservation of the Shore Acres estate. Daughter Brenna ARCHITECTURE: This house was originally identical to that at 3005 Balmoral Avenue, thought to have been built in 1926. The BHS archive has an undated photograph [\"1928-29 Roseland project\"?] of Hughes Cleaver with tradesmen standing in front of this house or 3005 Balmoral. A two-and-a-half-storey masonry structure, stuccoed, in an eclectic style with Craftsman Style elements. The high truncated hipped roof has a shallow-arched dormer and multi-paned casement windows at the front and hipped-roof dormers at the sides. The roof line is broken by slightly elevated rooflines over the second-level windows. The front entrance with sidelights also has a shallow arche, beneath a metal roofed portico on squared pillars. A projecting bay window above the entrance breaks the roof line. The eight-paned windows grouped in threes at the first level have their original storm covers. Other windows are grouped in pairs.
