J. Harshaw, on Burlington Avenue. 1919 Voters List: W. J. Harshaw, Supt. T. P. C., lot 44, Burlington Avenue 1924 GOAD Map: 13 and 15 Burlington, the latter as the office for the Toronto & Niagara Power Company 1927 Voters List: xx 1928 (January) Burlington Directory: W. Harshaw, Manager, Burlington ave, and M. Harshaw, 15 Burlington ave; Mrs J. M. Oliver, 13 Burlington ave 1932 Burlington Directory: William & Eloise Harshaw, 13 Burlington Garnet Gibbon lived here from 1931 or 1932. His father Playford(?) Gibbon was a manager in Burlington for Ontario Hydro from 1926 until 1948, when he was transferred to Brampton. The small building to the north was the Hydro telephone office - to call other Hydro offices. In 1972 from the Hydro Electric Power Commission of Ontario to the City of Burlington; in 1981 to Lawrence James Kelley; in 1989 to Georgina Winfield. ARCHITECTURE: A one-and-a-half storey brick bungalow with wooden fish-scale shingles on the front dormer. The roof extends over the full verandah and is supported by four slim Tuscan columns. Two grouped windows with one wide and two narrow windows flank the front entrance. ENVIRONMENT: Attractive front yard. The former Radial Line property to the north is now a parking lot. USABILITY: Duplexed residential. INTEGRITY: The former office building, now attached to the house, has a new door protected by a small peaked hood. Replacement windows and porch floor (no railings), and aluminum eaves.
