(Jr.) financing the building of the # 3 greenhouse and working in the day-to-day operations. Robert also planted flower crops (stocks) during periods when vegetable production was down. Byron experimented with growing figs, lemons and oranges in the greenhouses. The lemon trees when in blossom filled the greenhouses with a beautiful scent and produced lemons weighing over a pound. My favorite was the little pink figs.
