Wellington Park, Plan 117, was registered by J. Walter Gage in 1908. Coal Dealer Phil Patriarche, who lived at 1419 Ontario Street, owned this and other property on Clark Avenue from 1912. The Hamilton & North Western (later Grand Trunk) Railway to the west of Clark (the route of the present hydroelectric transmission line) transported his coal supplies. In 1915 his tenant in this house was Charles Keadwell, a railway lineman. In 1927 the tenants were a widow, Jane Kearse, and her unmarried daughters, Elsie and Eva. As a widow, Mrs Kearse was recorded in earlier voters' lists as living nearby: at 505 Hager Avenue (1915) and 1359 Caroline Street (1919). At that address, her son Harold, a mechanic, was also added to the list. The traditional Farms and Farminghouse style makes it possible that the house was originally built for workers on the Farms and Farming property bought in 1873 by Robert Lindley, whose own homestead is now 562 Maple Avenue. After the railway line divided his land, Robert sold everything east of the railway to James Allen & Hiram H. Hurd."},{"label":"Contributor","value":"Pat Taylor"},{"label":"Creator","value":"Pat Taylor"},{"label":"Date","value":"2012"},{"label":"Date (EDTF)","value":"D:00 M:00 Y:2012"},{"label":"Title","value":"547 Clark Avenue, 2012"},{"label":"Repository","value":["Burlington Historical Society"]}],"description":"547 Clark Avenue, 2012","sequences":[{"@type":"sc:Sequence","canvases":[{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/62bcf152-7e66-437e-8ed6-642a87d21d07/canvas/_1","@type":"sc:Canvas","label":"547 Clark Avenue, 2012","height":1600,"width":1214,"images":[{"@type":"oa:Annotation","motivation":"sc:painting","resource":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/62bcf152-7e66-437e-8ed6-642a87d21d07/full/full/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","format":"image/jpeg","service":{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/context.json","@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/62bcf152-7e66-437e-8ed6-642a87d21d07","profile":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/level2.json","tiles":[{"width":512,"scaleFactors":[1,2,4]}]},"height":1600,"width":1214},"on":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/62bcf152-7e66-437e-8ed6-642a87d21d07/canvas/_1","metadata":[]}],"thumbnail":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/62bcf152-7e66-437e-8ed6-642a87d21d07/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","height":500,"width":500}}]}],"thumbnail":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/62bcf152-7e66-437e-8ed6-642a87d21d07/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","logo":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/logo"}
